I have a part where I shuffle my foot as I walk in to indicate that I’m there, and then they look up and see me. Well, on the first take we did it, everything was fine, and then I have this epiphany. So, the scene starts, and they start making out—making out hot and heavy, looking hot as hell—as you could tell, since that was the take that was used—and I very quietly tiptoe in. I think they made out for an extra 45 seconds to a minute. (laughter)
Finally, they think, “You know, this is going on for a really long time.” So Dan looks up and he sees that I’m there, and so I smile with a genuine, “Ha ha, got you,” and so the entire scene afterward with the two of them was the genuine giggles with the two of them being embarrassed and caught. It was such a beautiful scene and a lot of fun to do. I bought them a six-pack afterwards, but they were so good about it. The way they embrace their roles is just beautiful because they have no prejudice towards it, and that’s great.”

30 days with Spartacus: Day 1- Favorite male character?
It will be predictable. Gannicus!
After final episode of Blood and Sand I didn’t have favorite male or female character. I just loved the show. Spartacus was great as gladiator and future leader, Crixus was just not my type (but Navia x Crixus were my first OTP!). Batiatus or Ashur… They were normal and some kind of ordinary villians. Oenomaus was the best! But he was so right and loyal… as friend or brother Oenomaus is brilliant, but He was not the one to be my favorite. And then I saw Gods of the Arena! The first appearance of Gannicus….My inner voice told me - It’s him. He was a drinker, loved sex, the fighter with two swords (I have geek on this), without morality and desires of freedom. He lived today! He didn’t think about tomorrow and consequences. Then I saw how deeply Gannicus can feel: first point - broromance with Oenomaus, second point - first love with Melitta. He was so confused because of feelings. And I saw hate. He hated himself and didn’t want to think or choose. Because it’s hard, because he was afraid that he could not be able to do the best. But He fell in love. And did everything for the one he loved. He said “Never fucking lose”, but for her, for her sake he lost everything. Gannicus became my favorite character. I wanted to see his changes during the show, from the man, who didn’t believe in himself and hate himself, to the leader, who finally believed in himself and leaded others.Sorry for bad English.
